Hi,
here is my problem in a schematic way (texture names being much more complicated than AAA…) :
– on my hard disk, I have textures named :
AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD…..
– in my 3DS MAX files, the textures are called :
111, 222, 333, 444….
What’s the best way to reassign textures so that :
111 = AAA
222 = BBB
333 = CCC
444 = DDD,
etc….Is there a batch solution on a selection of 3DS MAX files?
Is there a solution in open file mode in 3DS MAX?Thank you very much.
Plugin version: 3.35.90
3ds Max version: 2024

Thanks for the answer, but I think I misspoke: I don’t want to rename the files on the hard disk.
I want to rename/relink the textures in the 3DS MAX files “automatically”. - October 14, 2024 at 13:46 #42846Oleksandr KramerModeratorPosts: 256Threads: 1128Joined: Aug 2009
Just don’t use the option to rename on hard drive.
