I almost always reference models in as xref’d objects. Could you add this option, ie. “Merge as Xref Obj.” on top of Merge as Proxy?

PS. I can’t find the register button for the forums!

      Hello George
      Ok.
In the future, it may be as a combo box with Items “Merge as Proxy” and “Merge as Xref Objects”

Now you can find this ability here

I will soon enable registration for users of “Project Manager” .

Hi, is it possible to add ‘category’ feature under ‘Favorite’? Let say I create a ‘Classic Chandelier’ category under ‘Favorite’, then I can collect all 3d classic chandelier models from different folders into that place, or I create a ‘Modern Table Lamp’ category under ‘Favorite’, then I can collect (or ‘favorite’) all 3d modern table lamp models from all my model database into one view.

This is great! I believe this will make “Project Manager” even more useful. Thanks!

      Hi

First, thanks for this really cool script and it usefulness.

I suggest one more thing to manage…

      “scripts” of course!

Launch and manage them is a pain without plugins, and if we can do everything in the same manager… Wow!

      Cheers!

      Hello,

Very cool tool. Will definitely change the way I’m using Max.

One thing I came across, when setting up my library.

When having a scene with multiple objects, it would be very useful if there was an option to save multiple seperate objects to Max-files.Now you have to do it one by one, unless I’m missing something.

Maybe have the option to save the separate object-groups as well.

      Thanks,

      Tim

      Hi Alex.

I really enjoy the comfort and speed of working with Project Manager.

Do you think it would be possible to add Sketchup files to the model category?

      Tim

      hi alex

I work with material ID’s all the time, mostly with “override Material Id’s” from vray.

the problem is to “see” which ID is set already, you have to check all materials by hand and check the ID. the problem gets bigger if you merge objects from other scenes… then you have double ID set for different materials. I would ask if project manager could get a automated process to assign random material ID’s based on the already assigned ones. so you have no double ID’s… should work for the max ID’s and also for the override ID’s of Vray.

      thanks

      best regards
