vadimkivadesignParticipantPosts: 1Threads: 0Joined: Apr 2026Good afternoon. Thank you for this great plugin — it’s very convenient to work with.
However, there is one issue that seriously affects usability: drag-and-drop from the plugin interface into the 3ds Max viewport stops working after a short time. When I restart the scene, drag-and-drop works two or three times, and then it stops responding completely when I try to drop anything into the viewport nothings happened.
Reinstalling the plugin temporarily fixes the issue, but the problem keeps coming back, and honestly it’s becoming frustrating.
Does anyone know what might be causing this? Thank you.
Plugin version: 3.35.75

Version 3.35.75 is quite outdated, and the behaviour you’re describing is characteristic of a cracked build rather than a genuine version of that release.
I`m recommend downloading the latest official version, which should resolve the issue entirely.

Martin HulseParticipantPosts: 0Threads: 3Joined: Apr 2026Hi has there been any further information regarding this issue? I installed version 4 yesterday on 3ds max 2022, Vray, Win10 and have a similar issue, but it has changed. Yesterday I could not drag and drop but double clicking in the manager would open the object in the scene at 0,0. Today it sometimes opens in the scene, but now a double click in the manager opens the export Alembic window, and nothing in the scene?

Oleksandr KramerModeratorPosts: 267Threads: 1406Joined: Aug 2009It looks like you’ve accidentally gained access to version 4, which is still in development and not yet ready for production use — so the unexpected behaviour you’re seeing is expected at this stage!
For now, we’d recommend uninstalling version 4 and going back to version 3, which is stable and fully supported. You can download it from your account at https://3d-kstudio.com/my-account/downloads/
Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the detailed report — it’s genuinely useful feedback for the v4 development process.

Martin HulseParticipantPosts: 0Threads: 3Joined: Apr 2026That was next on my list of things to try, thank you for the prompt response, I have it downloaded already I was just trying to find out how to transfer any links That I have already set up in version 4?

Oleksandr KramerModeratorPosts: 267Threads: 1406Joined: Aug 2009To transfer your links to version 3, copy the files from:
%localappdata%\Kstudio\ProjectManager_4\3ds Max <version>\settings\
to:
%localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\<version> – 64bit\ENU\scripts\Kstudio\ProjectManager_3\Settings\
Then rename ProjectManager_4.db to ProjectManager_3.db
That should carry everything over.
