peter.turnerParticipantPosts: 1Threads: 1Joined: May 2026::Hello and thank you for your time. My company purchased the Sweep Pro package with all the profiles for me. I’ve enjoyed using it, but sometimes, I can’t make the window appear. When clicking the button added to my toolbar it highlights to indicate the tool is active, but the window is nowhere to be found.
Alt – Tabbing doesn’t reveal it. Closing and restarting Max or even my computer doesn’t make it reappear. I’ve also tried reinstalling. Eventually, it will just show up at some random time when I’m not trying to use it. I think the tool is really great when it works, but unfortunately, that’s often not when I’m trying to use it.
I’m using Max 2025 – I’ve stopped upgrading specifically because this plugin failed to install in 2027.
I don’t know the version of the plugin. I can’t find it in the instructions, the plugin name, or the eula.
I would appreciate any suggestions on how I might be able to get the sweep profiles window to appear.
Thank you again.Plugin: -1
3ds Max version: 3ds Max 2025 - May 14, 2026 at 08:36 #46881

The window-disappearing behaviour might happens most often when switching between monitor configurations or using a laptop that is sometimes connected to an external display. The window remembers its last position, and if that position is outside the current screen area, it becomes effectively invisible.
A few things to try:
1. While the tool button is active (highlighted), press Alt+Space, then M, then use the arrow keys to move the window back into view — this is a standard Windows trick for off-screen windows.
2. If that does not work, locate and delete the plugin’s INI or settings file so it resets the saved window position on next launch.
Regarding the version — you are most likely not running the latest release. Sweep Profile Pro already supports 3ds Max 2027, so the compatibility issue you encountered was likely fixed in a newer build. I would recommend downloading the latest version from your account:

Updating may also resolve the positioning issue.
Let me know how it goes.
Kind regards

I will try those things. Oddly when I arrived at my desk today, and woke my computer the sweep profile browser was open. I hadn’t closed max last night when I slept my computer. This is the behavior I’ve experienced. The plugin will just appear on its own sometimes! Anyway, I’m going to use it while it’s available and I’ll try your suggestions next time it won’t open.
Thanks again!
