Hi Oleksandr,

I have a doubt about the Thumbnail generator. Basically I need to understand why whit some .max projects it doesn´t generate it.
Is there like some minimal thing that have to be inside the project like the Sample. max scene ? (dummy, camera, light, etc..)  Example:

Plugin version: 3.41.20
3ds Max version: 3ds Max 2024
Renderer: Arnold

You should extract a scene before render it

I´m sorry but i don´t get the “extract” point for the scene. What do you mean exactly?

I understand from the topic title “some certain . max archives” that you are trying to render a scene that is in an archive.
Check the logs after rendering – just open maxscriptlistener

Yes, you understand it right. The theme is that it looks like is trying to create it but when it finishes the process it doesn´t generate the thumbnail.

Here is what is shown in the MaxScript Listener when I try to generate the thumbnail of this project:

Please generate the support request.
You can find this option in the main 3ds max menu “Project Manager” → Create Support Request.
I need to see more logs and get more info about your settings.

Hi again Oleksandr,

Here is my Thumbnail configuration which I think is the default one . I also add some screenshot from the Maxscript Listener of what is happening when I try to generate the thumbnail of both projects. It doesn´t show me more information when I press F11 or maybe I´m not doing it right.
