I’m familiar with the shortcomings of standart Asset Tracking, but not have any ideas about shortcomings of the standart tool “Bitmap Performance and Memory”.

Simple turn on this option in 3ds Max and use it.
Be note: this option in some 3ds max versions can make the asset management slow.Oleksandr Kramer

And therefore it can be slower.

Also version 3 will have the advansed power options for cataloguing files.

Valid network path to cache will be applied automatically to all accounts on network what uses MySQL database.

- Backup your settings
- Uninstall the Project Manager, including settings
- Restart the 3Ds Max
- Install latest version again

I was try reproduce this but all works.
Please generate a bug report and attach your studio and example file.
So i can get a details about your settings.
