Try to install/reinstall the latest updates for 3Ds Max
If this won’t help generate the support request.
You can find this option in the main 3ds max menu “Project Manager” ==> Create Support Request.
Also, please send a video of the process of merging.

You can do this on from the next methods
      1) Just rename xRef files

      • Open a scene with xRef-files
      • Select xRef file and Rename it using the menu-item “Rename Link&File”

      2) Rename xRef files using Mass-Rename Tool

      • If the scene contains a few xRef files, you can also use Advanced Asset Rename tool
      • Select xRef files
      • Open Advanced Asset Rename tool using F2 or from menu Tools => Mass-Rename Tool
      • Check Rename on Drive
      • Print “materials.max” to Find field and  “materials-2024.max” to Replace field
      • Press Apply button

      3) Rename using Batch Relink tool (shipped with Project Manager)

      • Add files that contain xRef scenes
      • Turn on the option “Find&Replace”
      • Print “\materials.max” to Find field and  “\materials-2024.max” to Replace field (I recommend to use slash before filename)
      • Press START button
      • Please note that this function doesn`t rename xRef files on drive, and you should do this manually

This feature currently is available in Project Manager.
Later it will be added to Materials Manager also.

      Hi
As I understand, you want to rename a material library file?

Using the last version, you can use the option “Search Directories Filter” with filter <filename>
This allows you to search textures in directories with the same name as 3ds max file.
The advantage will be given to folders with the same name as the 3Ds Max file.

      1. Add files/directories with 3ds max files
      2. Add directory or several to search textures
      3. Turn on the “Relocate Links” option (optionally – use if previously you relink textures to incorrect path)
      4. Open the dialog “Search Directories Filters”
      5. Switch to “Include” and add <filename> to the list
      6. Hit START button

This is a path where assets will be stored.
To change assets filename, use the tab “Asset Tracking” on the Project Manager window

Check if you turn on the option “Recursive subfolders” and add valid paths for search in

      Please generate the support request.
You can find this option in the main 3ds max menu “Project Manager” ==>> Create Support Request.
Also, attach a few from models, that merged slowly.
      Thanks for your feedback.

Just turn off the Auto-Relink options in the Preferences dialog

Currently, 3ds Max’s Project Manager archives files in ZIP format by default, and there isn’t an option to directly archive to other formats like 7z or tar.gz from within the software.

If you need to archive in a different format, you would typically need to extract the ZIP file and re-compress it using a tool that supports your desired format, such as 7-Zip or a similar utility.

As for creating an archive folder with the same structure as the ZIP without compressing, Project Manager does not have an option to create an uncompressed archive. The tool is designed to package all the necessary assets and files into a compressed ZIP file for easy sharing and portability.

Looks like you tried to start scripts without restarting 3ds max or have incorrect settings for user privileges to 3ds max folders.

Fix this and reinstall the scripts pack.
Or add to the file “Plugin.UserSettings.ini” path to the GetObjectPivot.dlx (<path to enu directory>\ENU\scripts\Kstudio\AlignPivot\3Ds Max libs\3ds Max 2024\GetObjectPivot.dlx)

Scripts pack supported up to 3ds max 2025.
Try to reinstall or run 3ds max in administrative mode and install the scripts pack
