Check if you really remove it.

As I can no longer access the mat file from with Project Manager or 3ds max material editor.

Did you mean that 3ds max can not access то material?
In this case the Project Manager also can not work with this material.

The 2nd version of “Project Manager” will be supported for multiply Favorites folders.

Soon i will post the update for fixing this bug.

This bug occurs when you render the thumnails for material and using the custom studio and Vray set to use the Vray Frame buffer.

Now you can turn off the Vray Frame buffer manually or wait for updating. (Tomorrow, i think)

Batch rendering is intended to creating a preview of your models.
Its abilities is more than enough to getting a visual information about the model.
More fine-tuning of the view is possible only with manual setting.

The xRefs can contains any type of objects (of course also Vray or MentalRay Proxy).

No – the Project Manager not has ability for merge xRef-proxies.
The option “Merge as Proxy” not has any sense to xRef.
You can use the option “Merge as Proxy” for merging a 3d model as Vray or Mental Ray Proxy.
