3ds max doesn’t support auto-rescaling the system units for material libraries

PS. The next update will use an another method to read meta from images, so this issue will be resolved. But for storing comments to images you still should fix the system settings.

      Thanks for sending the bug-report.

The issue you’re facing is generally linked to a group policy within your computer’s system settings.

Specifically, the error seems to arise because your antivirus software is blocking ‘exiv2.exe’, an integral component of our application located at “%localappdata%\Kstudio\application\exiv2\”.
This component is essential for reading and writing metadata from image files.
Therefore, every time you open a folder containing image files (PNG, TIF, PSD), the application attempts to read metadata from these files but encounters a blockage imposed by your system.

To help resolve this, here are a few potential solutions:

      1. Review Your Antivirus Software: Antivirus software can occasionally interfere with the operation of certain applications. Please check if our application or its components are being blocked or limited in some way. If this is the case, you can add the path (%localappdata%\Kstudio\application\exiv2\) to your antivirus exclusion list.

2.Reach Out to Your IT Department: If you’re utilizing our application within a workplace or other corporate environment, there may be certain security measures in place that are contributing to this issue. We recommend contacting your IT department or system administrator to discuss this problem.

      3. Run 3ds Max as an Administrator: By right-clicking on the 3ds Max shortcut and selecting “Run as administrator”, the application can operate with elevated privileges, potentially bypassing these restrictions.

… if adding the HDRI folder to the Texture tab is the correct way to proceed, is it?

Yes – since version 3 you can use HDR from the Textures tab

… Is there a way to filter only HDR files in PM so the jpg preview doesn’t show on the explorer? (I read in the FAQ section that is possible only in the models tab)…

You can filter images on the Textures tab also. I updated the FAQ section
      https://3d-kstudio.com/support/faq/#8074

… if there is a method to batch render the HDRI files in a Dummy scene to have rendered thumbnails in the gallery of every HDRI Files.

A lot of customers ask recently for this feature, so I`ll add this capability in the future.

      Thanks for your questions!

Looks like a problem in Corona version 10.

If I am right, just try the latest version of Project Manager – 3.22.00
You can it from the dashboard.
Auto-updater will be triggered in a few days if there’s no critical issue found.
      Thanks for your feedback.

You can restore a database using MySQL Workbench

To restore a database from an SQL file backup using MySQL Workbench, you can follow these steps:

      1. Launch MySQL Workbench and connect to your MySQL server.
      2. On the home screen, click on the “Server” menu and select “Data Import”.
      3. In the Data Import/Restore window, choose the “Import from Self-Contained File” option.
      4. Click on the folder icon next to the “Import from Self-Contained File” field and browse to the location where your SQL file backup is stored. Select the file and click “Open”.
      5. Once you have selected the SQL file, you will be back at the Data Import/Restore window. Ensure that the “Default Target Schema” is selected or choose a specific schema from the dropdown if you want to restore the database to a different schema.
      6. Review the other import options such as Import Options, Object Creation Options, etc., based on your requirements. You can modify these options as needed.
      7. Click on the “Start Import” button to begin the restoration process.
      8. MySQL Workbench will execute the SQL statements from the backup file and restore the database. You can monitor the progress in the “Output” tab.
      9. Once the restoration process is complete, you will see a summary of the import process. Review the summary to ensure the restoration was successful.
      10. You can now close the Data Import/Restore window and verify that your database has been restored by checking the schema and tables in MySQL Workbench.

Please note that the steps mentioned above are based on MySQL Workbench version 8.0. The user interface and options may vary slightly depending on the version you are using, but the overall process should be similar.

Unfortunately, currently this option doesn’t present. Moving in most cases will break links from other scenes/material libraries. So copy option is safer.
