- Auto – Automatically determines grouping based on file names and structure.
- Disable – Leaves all files ungrouped in a single list.
- Use All Available – Processes all texture variations, ignoring resolution suffixes.
- Highest Available – Selects only the highest-resolution texture in each set.
- Lowest Available – Selects only the lowest-resolution texture in each set.
We’re excited to introduce PBR Materials Generator 1.12, featuring improved texture grouping, resolution filtering, and extension-based organization for a more efficient workflow.
What’s New in Version 1.12?
Configurable Texture Grouping
Previously, the script automatically grouped textures. Now, users can choose whether to enable or disable grouping:
Group by Extension
A new option allows users to group files while considering their extensions (e.g., JPG, TIF, etc.), ensuring correct texture mapping.
Preferred Resolutions
New filtering options let you control texture resolution usage:
The tool detects common resolution suffixes such as _1K, _2K, _4K, etc. Textures without suffixes will always be used.
These enhancements provide better automation, more precise material creation, and improved asset management.
