ModeratorPosts: 263Threads: 1195Joined: Aug 2009This issue is well known among 3ds Max users. During rendering, especially when batch processing or generating previews, 3ds Max tends to steal window focus, which disrupts parallel work in other applications. This has been discussed on forums, particularly on the Chaos Corona Forum, where users noted that even with the VFB (Virtual Frame Buffer) disabled, the render engine can still trigger popup windows that capture focus.

ModeratorPosts: 263Threads: 1195Joined: Aug 2009Ok. I found the problem. It will be simpler, if I know version of 3ds max. 3ds Max 2021 has a bug, with optional parameters in the maxscript.
I’ll post the update soon.Oleksandr Kramer

ModeratorPosts: 263Threads: 1195Joined: Aug 2009Hello
Check if you used the latest version.
Try to download and replace this file.
If the problem still exists, restart the computer.
There is definitely no such bug in the script, so the problem is most likely with the garbage collector in 3d max.
Rebooting should help. Also installing or reinstalling the latest service packs and updates.Oleksandr Kramer

ModeratorPosts: 263Threads: 1195Joined: Aug 2009This behavior may indicate a problem with the settings. Most likely, some settings are corrupted.
Try close 3d max, rename the Project Manager folder and install the plugin. (%localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\2025 – 64bit\ENU\scripts\Kstudio\ProjectManager_3)
Try open the plugin. There should be no flickering.
Copy the necessary settings from the old folder one by one, checking each time whether the problem with loading the plugin has returned. This will help find the problematic settings. Before copying the old settings, it is better to reload 3d maxMarch 23, 2025 at 01:07 in reply to: .NET errors and batch render re-link scripts not longer working #44346Oleksandr Kramer

ModeratorPosts: 263Threads: 1195Joined: Aug 2009As I understand it, the issue occurs in scripts where you use the Project Manager API?
Please send them to support@3d-kstudio.com.
I will review them and either fix them or provide recommendations on how to make them compatible with the latest plugin versions.
