Hi,
After updating (from inside Max2018) the latest Projectmanager, my Bitdefender suite sees checkforupdates.exe as malware, throws 3dsmax.exe and mostly all *.mcr in the usermacros dir. into quarantaine.
What is going on. This has never happened before and is very annoying?
Plugin version: 28806
3ds Max version: 2018.4

Use virustotal for checking files for viruses.
Result for CheckForUpdates.exe
Full version:
Demo:
So as you see the original archives doesn’t contains any malware.

Yes,
I did this will all the quarantained files (incl checkforupdates.exe, 3dsmax.exe, cmd.exe and more)and they all show virusfree. But this happened during updating to 2.88.06 inside 3dsmax. Bitdefender locked max down and throwed a lot of things in quarantine. Very weird. Hope this wont happen again.
