Project Manager 3.17.46 - Drag and drop Materials. Instancing for Proxies and Models

The new version of Project Manager concentrates on the convenience and speed of model merging and working with materials and textures. Model and proxy instances are supported.

      Merging Proxies and Models

From now on, when a file is merged for a second time, it will use the copy of the model from this file that was merged into the scene before.
(Reuse Merged Models option is enabled by default and can be disabled in the Miscellaneous panel of the Preferences dialog box)

Also, the proxy now always uses an instance copy of the model existing in the scene.
This will significantly speed up and simplify the reuse of proxies and models, while reducing user memory.
The new version allows a faster conversion of a scene with a huge number of objects into a proxy.

      Materials and Textures

Project Manager already has the ability to drag and drop materials, textures and images into the Material Editor.

The new version expands these features. Now you can drag and drop a texture or material into a specific slot directly in the Slate Material Editor.

Project Manager also allows you to drag and drop materials, textures or images directly into slots in the Parameter Editor. Moreover, when dragging the image, material or texture is created that is compatible with the active renderer.

In case the material does not support dragging directly into the slot, a dialog box will appear allowing you to specify the slot where you want to place the material/texturemap.

This version has an added feature of creating PBR (physically-based rendering) materials from images in TX format.

TX image format allows for maximum optimization of the process of rendering complex scenes with super high-quality images at the highest resolution.

The version makes creating materials and textures from images a much faster process. If previously it took 5 to 10 seconds to create a material, now it happens instantly.

Now Corona Renderer 7 uses Corona Physical Mtl as default material.
