I would like to archive the max scene file and then send it to other people. Project Manager archive to a zip file by default, but for some reasons I may use 7z or tar.gz instead. Current I manually unzip it and compress again.
Are there any options to do this? I want to get a 7z or tar.gz directly after clicking the archive operation. Besides, can Project Manager create an archive folder with the same structure as zip but do not compress?

Currently, 3ds Max’s Project Manager archives files in ZIP format by default, and there isn’t an option to directly archive to other formats like 7z or tar.gz from within the software.
If you need to archive in a different format, you would typically need to extract the ZIP file and re-compress it using a tool that supports your desired format, such as 7-Zip or a similar utility.
As for creating an archive folder with the same structure as the ZIP without compressing, Project Manager does not have an option to create an uncompressed archive. The tool is designed to package all the necessary assets and files into a compressed ZIP file for easy sharing and portability.

Thanks for answering. So I should do this by myself, and it may be great if this function can be added.
