I just installed PM 2.23.11. Activation was fine, but when I try to start PM, 3ds max freezes, no PM splash screen, nothing. I have to kill max and boot again.

Plugin version: 3.23.11
3ds Max version: 3ds max 2023.3.4 Security Fix

I have the latest update for max 2023 installed.

I also made a clean installation of max 2024. PM started once, but when I closed max and restarted it and tried to launch PM again, the same thing no splash screen and max freezes.

I also made another test with max 2023 and renamed the ENU folder to make sure that none of the other startup scripts don’t cause an issue with PM. Installed PM. PM launched ok and worked fine for one max session. When I quit max and restarted it the PM does not launch and freezes max again.  I repeated this procedure but this time PM does not launch even once. Strange. Any idea what next?

Hi,

Windows 10 installed some updates : KB5027215 or KB5028166,…

It completly kill my connexion with my network synology disks and make 3dsmax freeze when opening Project Manager.

Check and uninstall these updates.

Nevertheless, first opening of Project Manger is slow for me.    :-)

Please check if you turn off all sleep and energy-save functions to your NAS. This might slow down starting the plugin.

Could you please write a video explaining what you mean about “freeze”?

Hi, my first post was to try to help Mikko Sissala with my own experience : Win 10 update ( KBxxxx ) make my network disc unreachable and Project Manager non-openable making 3dsmax freezed ( no response, need to hard quit ). As soon I uninstall these updates, all is working fine again.

Then I just said that at first opening, Project Manager is longer than the following.

I don’t know why.   :-)
