Rendering and Interpolation rollouts
Most spline-based shapes share these parameters.
For details, see the related sections on 3ds Max help: Rendering rollout and Interpolation rollout
Creation Method rollout
The Curlipse shape offers the standard creation-method choice: Center or Edge
Keyboard Entry rollout
Creates a Curlipse spline from the keyboard
Parameters rollout
Once you have created a Curlipse, you can make changes using the following parameters:
Length
The size along the local Y axis.
Width
The size along the local X axis.
Height
Specifies the height of the Curlipse
Outline. Thickness. Close
Turn on Outline to allow to specify Thickness
The Close option allows making closed spline
No Outline
With Outline
Closed Curlipse with Outline
Expansion
Specifies the expansion/constriction of Curlipse by height
Expansion: 0
Expansion: 1
Expansion: -1
Points
Specifies the number of points to on the Curlipse
Turns
Specifies the number of turns the Curlipse makes between its start and end points

Curlipse is very easy to learn, and very handy to use to generate smooth helixes. Thanks!
