Hi,
That new option to process xref scenes in batch relink makes unwanted changes to those scene settings. For example, it turns on the “Match Layers by Name and Parent” option for each xref scene record, which screws up layers coming in from those scenes, and it changes all relative paths to full paths. It should not doing any of this.

The plugin doesn’t change the “Match Layers by Name and Parent” option.
Check your scripts or other options for this.it changes all relative paths to full paths.
This behavior didn’t change – the plugin always changed paths to full.
But this is a good idea – in the future, I’ll add the ability to use the relative paths.PS. Latest version is 3.35.23

Hi,
The batch render and relink was the only tools I used on these files; the option “Match Layers by Name and Parent” is always off on my xref scenes. That option is on by default, so if the tool changed the path from relative to full path then that likely triggered it to be turned on regardless because that option is always on for added xref records.

Hi,
So, I did put in a feature request to Autodesk to get the default behavior of “Match Layers by Name and Parent” to be controlled by script. Apparently, there is no way to control it by script right now, so if the path is changed for an XREF it will get turned on again if originally turned off. Unwanted in my case.
