Hi, would be/Is it/ possible to generate proxy for selected files – library without need to add them to the scene? I would like to pre-generate proxies for my libs. Also, how to filter files that already have/don’t have proxies?

And third thing – Now, you generate one proxy for scene with more than one meshes. Would be fine, to have option to generate proxy for each mesh in the scene.  (typical a library of grass with more clumps etc) There is  need to solve the problem of more proxies and one thumbnail…

I sometimes have a problem with vray proxy generator. Usually it stops working after more than 5-10 converting. So I need to start new max session and continue of converting.

This ability is already presented in the Project Manager. Just use the desired format from the menu item “Export to:”



Also, how to filter files that already have/don’t have proxies?

PM doesn’t have such an option, because there isn’t sense in this.
Just turn on the option “Merge as Proxy” and “Use existing Proxy”
