- License: Store the data about what the model can be used for legally, if it requires attribution and if it is free for personal/commercial use.
- Language: When dealing with assets in a specific language, I’d like to be able to search/filter only models or textures of that language.
- Relation: In some cases I have separate files or documents which have guidelines to follow when using a certain model, line art files that were used to create the asset, or a design reference that I would like to connect the documents together using metadata. This could be similar to how the gallery view works on the sidebar, and would most likely just be a list of file paths.
I’m looking to store more specific metadata on the models and textures in addition to the description and categories features. Broadly this could follow a standard metadata schema such as the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set, but specifically I am looking for the following:
It would be most useful to be able to add, edit or remove this information on multiple assets at a time, or copy them from one asset to another. To assign this data one at a time would probably be pretty tedious, and the same metadata usually applies to multiple files at once.
These could then be filterable in the Additional Filters feature under a Metadata category.
As a separate feature request to the above, on the Categories feature, it would be great to be able to assign custom icons to the categories in addition to the custom color assignments to help distinguish the categories further. DesignConnecter as a similar feature in their tagging system that works pretty well.

Here’s what I can share regarding your requests:Custom Icons for Categories
The ability to assign custom icons to categories has been available in Project Manager starting from version 3.37.15.
You can use built-in icons or add custom icon fonts (such as Font Awesome) and SVG files for unique icons.
This should help visually distinguish categories further, alongside the existing color assignments.
Custom Metadata
While this is not currently available, we’re happy to inform you that it’s on our roadmap.Thank you once again for the thoughtful ideas.
