Recently Used Assets
Keep your most frequently used assets at hand with the new Recent Assets category, which automatically stores recently imported 3D models, textures, and materials.
Recent Assets keeps links to the last 25 used assets, significantly simplifying the workflow with frequently used resources. In team collaboration, the Recent Assets folder also includes assets used by other team members, providing a shared view of recently utilized resources.
This ensures better coordination and quick access to assets across the team. This feature helps you stay focused on key tasks and avoids wasting time searching for necessary files.
Organizing Your Library
Assign Icons to Directories
Now you can easily organize your library by assigning custom icons to directories. Use built-in icons or add your own fonts (e.g., Font Awesome) and SVG files for unique directory icons.
Along with the ability to assign colors, this makes navigation more convenient and visually intuitive. Icons can be used locally or synchronized for team collaboration:
Additional features include:
These settings are available in the Tree Settings panel and can be adjusted at any time.
Include to Catalog
Using Сatalogs, analogs to virtual folders, you can organize your directories without physically moving or duplicating them on disk.
You can add a directory to a catalog by dragging it into the desired catalog or using the Copy/Paste function.
However, this requires locating the target catalog in the folder tree.
The new “Include to Catalog” menu item simplifies the organization of your directories by allowing you to add them directly to catalogs from the context menu.
This eliminates the need to search for the desired catalog in the folder tree, making the process faster and more efficient.Improved Search Performance
With caching optimizations and a new “Everywhere” search option, users can find the resources they need almost instantly, even in large databases.
This is useful for large libraries with thousands of objects.Search “Everywhere”
The “Everywhere” search option allows you to locate assets across all cached data. This nearly instant search feature saves significant time when finding any asset.
To use this feature, your data must be cached in the database.
Enable the Assets Cache option in the Preferences dialog. Depending on your data volume, the caching process may take some time.Search Query History
View and reuse your previous search queries with the new Recent Search Terms menu. This is convenient for repetitive searches and saves time.
Database Updates
Important Information:
– If your database contains a large volume of data, the update may take additional time (5 minutes or more).
– MariaDB users are recommended to update to version 11.6.2 to ensure compatibility and access to all enhancements.Bug Fixes and Improvements
